Shannon Elizabeth

Shannon Elizabeth Fadal (born September 7, 1973 in Houston, Texas ) is an American actress and player poker.

The former model grew up in Waco, Texas, the daughter of a Syrian-Lebanese father and a Cherokee mother. After graduating from school in 1991, she went to New York to work as a model. She then moved to Los Angeles where she attended acting school. She started out as an actress with small supporting roles as well as appearing in commercials and music videos.

In August 1999, a series of nude photos appeared in the American edition of Playboy; In March of the following year, some images from the photo series were also published in the German edition of Playboy. In the same year, she established herself as an actress playing the role of the open Czech exchange student Nadi in the film American Pie.

Shannon Elizabeth was sponsored by online poker site Full Tilt Poker and signed with Mansion Poker in 2008. She reached the semifinals of the 2007 National Heads-Up Poker Championship for $125,000 and has five cashes so far at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) on the Las Vegas Strip. There, her best tournament result was a second-place finish out of 83 entrants in the 2012 WSOP Ante Up For Africa charity game, which earned her nearly $80,000. She achieved her last live cash position in August 2013.

In June 2002, Shannon Elizabeth married fellow actor Joseph D. Reitman, with whom she had previously appeared in three films, in Mexico. The couple has been living separately since March 2005.
